Briefly, but water dripping onto the motor will eventually ruin it. Fixing the seal early is far cheaper than replacing the motor.

Why are some jets weak and others strong?

Closed diverter valves, clogged jet inserts or a partial blockage in one line are common causes. If adjusting the diverters doesn't help, the pump may be losing output.
